PENSARN prom now has coloured lights.
Cllr Alan Hunter, mayor of Abergele, has been pursuing the project for a couple of years.
He said: "Getting lights on the prom has been a project that I have pursued for a couple of years. I was supported by my colleagues on Abergele Town Council and the town hall team.
"Thanks to public support and an excellent grant application we received the full amount we applied for. A local company [GWP Electrical] won the contract for the installation.
"About 70 people turned up on the prom for the switch on on Friday, October 1.
"A collection in support of the mayor's charity, St Kentigern, was held by the Abergele support group and raised £120.
"It was really good to see so many people on the prom on what was a really nice evening."
