ONE PERSON who had been "evading police for some time" is in custody after an armed police and dog unit operation.
Cheshire and North Wales Dog Unit said it assisted authorised firearms officers in tracking down a wanted person in the Rhyl area on Saturday.
A spokesperson said: "Great work by PDs [police dogs] 'Speedy' and 'Gas' today supporting their authorised firearms officer colleagues with a firearms deployment in the NWP Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele area.
"One in custody who had been evading Police for some time."
