A COFFEE morning will be held to raise money for an African school founded by a former Prestatyn postman.
Ron Cavie will host the event at 10am at the Community Centre on Seabank Drive in Prestatyn on Saturday, October 9.
St Ronnie’s Academy is based in the village of Shanzu, a suburb of Mombasa in Kenya.
Ron said: "There will be an auction, raffle, game of bingo, many stalls, tea, cakes, biscuits and lots of fun for all.
"All proceeds will be going to St Ronnie's."
Ron, who usually visits the school, has found it difficult not being able to fly out and offer his support to St Ronnie's in person.
“I have managed to keep in touch with Lilly Pendo [headteacher] via What’s App video and people here in Wales have been so kind."
Ron was able to send out £700 to Lilly to do all the work needed to open the school.
