A CALL is being made to residents to return therapy equipment that is no longer wanted or needed.
Denbighshire County Council’s Equipment Service is behind the call to return community therapy and disability equipment.
This is due to the service, along with other local authorities and NHS Trusts across the UK, facing a shortage.
A spokesperson from Denbighshire County Council said: "An amnesty has now been declared to help source any un-required equipment across the county.
"The equipment service provides equipment for Social Services and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) services within Denbighshire."
Staff will collect, clean and reuse any unneeded equipment that is in good condition.
There is a particular need for toilet frames with seat, toilet frames, shower chairs, perching stools, kitchen trolleys, commodes with wheels and shower stools.
Anyone who has community therapy or disability equipment that they no longer need to use is asked to contact the Community Equipment Service on 01745 344675.
Alternatively, email e-mail: CESI@denbighshire.gov.uk
