A 'BUSHTUCKER fun day' is being held at Abergele Golf Club to celebrate the upcoming 21st series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

The day, on September 5, will feature an 18-hole Texas Scramble and six special trial holes.

This will be based around the show so golfers can definitely expect the unexpected around the course.

A spokesperson for Abergele Golf Club said: "We are really excited for our Bushtucker Fun Day. With I’m A Celebrity coming back to Gwyrch Castle this year, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the show with our own themed fun day.

"In teams of four, players will go around our course, not knowing what hole the next trial will be at, collecting stars instead of a score. The team that collects the most stars at the end of the 18th hole wins.

"There will also be a putting challenge on our putting green for children and families and ‘I’m A Celebrity’ themed treats and drinks too.

"We are encouraging all teams to wear ‘I’m A Celebrity’ themed fancy dress and the best costume will win a Castle Coin Challenge prize.

"As charities have struggled during the lockdown period, we are donating all our proceeds from the Bushtucker Fun Day to DangerPoint - a North Wales children’s charity, helping local school children learn about the risks they might face and how to stay safe in a fun and interactive way."

The event is £10 per person.

Teams can be mixed with any combination, but each member must have a handicap (can be a social one, new to golf one or a competitive one).
