ST DAVID'S Hospice supporters are encouraged to get their thinking caps on as they pit their wits against some of the brightest sparks at the North Wales Business Club (NWBC) Virtual Corporate Quiz.

On Thursday, September 16 at 6pm, NWBC will host an online quiz and raffle via Zoom. Quiz master will be Rupert Moon, former international Welsh Rugby Union Player.

Rounds will include general knowledge, observation and musical magic.

Jeremy Salisbury, North Wales Business Club Chairman, said: "None of us anticipated that we would be in this position again this year, but we do sincerely hope to be back to normal next year and trust that, in the meantime, everyone will support this year’s Online Quiz and Raffle in order that we may raise the much-needed funds to help St David’s Hospice in these difficult times.”

Last year more than 50 quizzers from across North Wales gathered around their laptops for the virtual corporate quiz. An impressive £10,220 was raised bringing the total over the five years to over £57,000.

Tom Owen and Son, who attended the virtual event last year, said: “We loved the quiz last year and can’t wait to be a part of this year’s event.”

The event will raise money for St David’s Hospice in Llandudno. The charity provides hospice care to adult patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Each year the charity must raise in excess of £5 million to ensure that services can be sustained in the community.

James Wilde, Conwy Area fundraiser, said: "Last year’s quiz was really well received and the Business Club had many emails saying how much fun the event was.

“There’s some fantastic raffle prizes on offer and it’ll be great to see who comes out on top in the quiz.

“We are really grateful to Rupert Moon for showing his support again, he has done such a superb job as quizmaster in previous years.”

Anyone who would like to take part in the quiz, (entry £10 per person) is asked to contact Jean Barlow on Jean@barlowstalyfan.co.uk or 07789348817.

Those who may not wish to participate in the quiz can still purchase raffle tickets at £5 each. The raffle includes a variety of prizes from businesses. A full list of prizes and sponsors are to be found on the business club’s website: www.nwbc.org.uk/Calendar-of-Events.
