A 24-YEAR-old was sentenced to 38 months in prison yesterday (July 20) for her part in an attempted robbery.

This was at the Fosters Off Licence on April 27 last year.

Amy Nicole Redfearn, of Eastville Avenue Rhyl, pleaded guilty alongside Daniel Shipley and Kyle Crompton, the latter of which brandished a knife at the store assistant whilst demanding money.

Speaking after Tuesday’s sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector Emma Naughton said: "Today sees the culmination of a painstaking investigation process, involving the collation of CCTV, mobile phone and forensic evidence to secure this outcome.

"I would like to pay tribute to my dedicated team of officers, who throughout all of their work were focussed upon obtaining justice for the local community. I would also like to acknowledge the bravery of the witnesses and victim of this incident, whose evidence was crucial in this investigation.

"We will not tolerate violent and criminal behaviour which threatens the safety of our neighbourhoods, and we will continue to pursue those who perpetrate such act."
