A PERSON has been taken to hospital following a a crash near Bodelwyddan.

The incident happened earlier this morning (Eastbound) at junction 24 Rhyl to J25 Glan Clwyd. A land was closed for a period of time. 

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called this morning at 7.32am to reports of a one vehicle road traffic accident on Abergele Road, Bodelwyddan.

"We responded with one emergency ambulance and one patient was conveyed to Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment."

A spokesperson from North Wales Police said earlier today: "We received a call at 7.35am reporting a single vehicle RTC on the eastbound carriageway of the A55 near Bodelwyddan.

"Officers are currently in attendance with colleagues from WAST."

Traffic Wales have since tweeted: "All vehicles involved in the incident have now been recovered, emergency services and our Traffic Officers have left the scene and the carriageway has been reopened.

"Thank you for your patience."
