A NEW president has been handed the reins at Abergele Rotary Club.
Peter Hughes has taken over from Haydn Davies.
Cllr Alan Hunter, mayor of Abergele, said: "It was an honour to be invited to officiate in the hand over of collar and jewel to the Abergele Rotary Club President.
"The outgoing president, Mr Haydn Davies, handed over to Mr Peter Hughes.
"Both myself and the mayoress Cheryl Hunter would like to thank Haydn for his service to the community during his time as president and wish Peter an enjoyable and successful year as president.
"We would also like to thank David Gozzard for hosting the event and for a very enjoyable evening."
The Rotary Club of Abergele was chartered in 1972.
