NEARLY 50 new cases have been confirmed in North Wales
Public Health Wales figures show that 48 new cases of the virus were confirmed in the region between Friday and Sunday morning.
Conwy, where a cluster of the Delta [Indian] variant have been confirmed, currently has the highest seven-day infection rate in Wales (42.7).
A full breakdown of new cases is as follows:
Anglesey - 6
Conwy - 12
Denbighshire - 5
Flintshire - 9
Gwynedd - 6
Wrexham - 9
Over 2.2 million people in Wales have now had at least one dose of the vaccine, with 1.3 million having received both doses.
Only one new suspected coronavirus-related death was confirmed in Wales over the weekend.
