THE family of a motorcyclist who died following a crash on the A548 between Llanfairtalhaiarn and Llangernyw have paid tribute to a granddad who "lived life to the full".

Patrick Kelly was 59 years old and came from the Denbigh area. He was the second eldest son of Jimmy and Barbara Kelly.

In a statement, the family said: "Patrick was a hardworking, happy, loving and caring man who would do anything to help his family and friends.

“He was the loving son of Jimmy and Barbara, cherished brother of Stuart, Shaun and Craig, caring Father to Gavin, David and Ryan and a devoted Taid to his grandchildren Daniel, Callum, Ella, Kian, Niamh and Kailan.

“Patrick lived life to the full and was looking forward to an upcoming trip on his motorbike, which, over the last few years, had given him a new lease of life.

“He loved his grandchildren more than anything and he has been tragically taken from them far too soon.

"He will be severely missed by his three sons and three brothers who he was always there for and willing to help in any way he could.

"The family say it was an honour and a pleasure to share his life.

"He was taken too soon and will never be forgotten.”

North Wales Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision which happened shortly after 2pm on Sunday, June 6 and involved a white Ford Transit van and a black and silver motorcycle.
