CHILDREN from a Rhyl nursery made 100 poppies to commemorate 100 years of the Royal British Legion.

Little ones from Beach House Day Nursery also complete 100 steps as part of a walk from the promenade and down Rhyl High Street.

They also visited the cenotaph to place a wreath.

Louise McCabe-Allen, director at Beach House Childcare Ltd, said: "The children loved making and painting the poppies and learning about why we were making them.

"We had 29 children involved. Some took part in the walk and some took the wreath to the cenotaph and all of them helped to make our 100 wreath.

"Our children always love getting involved with activities like this and it was lovely that, given the past year, we are now able to get out and about safely so were able to take part in the walk.

"Their little faces of achievement were lovely to see.

"We have close links with the army and the Royal British Legion and always support their fundraising and any activities they run."
