FOUR people have been arrested in Rhyl on suspicion of involvement in County Lines drugs supply.

North Wales Police said the arrests of three men and a woman followed a two-day intelligence operation carried out by its officers and Merseyside Police.

The individuals were detained on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs in the Rhyl area, police said.

Drugs and mobile phones were also seized at properties in the town.

Detective chief inspector Chris Bell said: "These successes are particularly significant as three telephones were seized which are thought to be used as main County 'Dealing' Lines. A quantity of Class A Drugs were also recovered.

"County Lines drug dealing significantly impacts the communities they operate in. These criminals exploit the most vulnerable in our society and they do so for pure greed.

"This week’s progress demonstrates that we will continue to work hard with neighbouring forces to make north Wales an unwelcome place for criminals.

"I would like to thank the local community for the information you continue to supply. The removal of these county lines will inevitably cause problems for those in our communities with drug issues. I would encourage them to contact the local health board, who will be able to offer support and counselling from partner agencies."
