THE MS for Clwyd West has praised staff and volunteers at Llandudno's rainbow hospital after receiving his first Covid-19 vaccination.

Darren Millar said the temporary Ysbyty Enfys, located at Venue Cymru, has a "well-organised operation" that has helped to administer more than 650,000 vaccines across North Wales.

“I have previously visited Ysbyty Enfys in my capacity as an MS, but returning as a patient for my first jab this week gave me a further insight of the well-organised operation at the centre," said Mr Millar.

“The staff and volunteers made the whole process so efficient and stress free. They have really had their work cut out in recent months helping to ensure that thousands throughout North Wales are vaccinated and I personally can’t praise them enough, they are all doing an absolutely fantastic job.

“I would encourage all those who are eligible but haven't received their vaccine to contact the Health Board as soon as possible to arrange for their appointment.

“The sooner we are all protected from this awful virus, the sooner we can enjoy a more normal way of life. It has been an incredibly challenging 14 months, but thanks to the brilliant vaccination programme we have in the UK and all the incredible staff who are involved in it, better times are just around the corner.”
