SCHOOL pupils at a Flintshire high school have been told to self-isolate following a positive coronavirus case.

A spokesman for Mold Alun school confirmed they received notification of a positive Covid case in year 11.

All contacts of the positive case have been advised to self-isolate but also pupils who were travelling on a local bus.

Pupils who used the P&O Lloyd bus from Connah's Quay between Wednesday, May 12 and Friday, May 14, have been asked to self isolate until May 25.

A spokesman for the school said on social media: "Unfortunately, we have received notification of a positive covid case in Y11. We are working to identify the close contacts in the hope that the remainder of the year can return to school tomorrow.

"All contacts of the positive case in Y11 have now received an email to their school Office365 account confirming arrangements for self isolation.

"If you travelled to school on the P&O Lloyd bus from Connahs Quay between Weds and Fri last week, you will need to self isolate until 25th May.

"If you were on this bus and haven't been contacted via email please call the school office in the morning."

It comes after a positive case in teaching group 8P earlier last week with contacts also being advised to self-isolate.
