RHUDDLAN castle was forced to close yesterday due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
A spokesperson from Cadw, the Welsh Government's historic environment service, told the Journal: "It closed on Thursday (May 13) due to unforeseen circumstances, and Cadw automatically refunded any tickets [purchased for the period the castle was closed]".
The site will re-open today [May 14].
Rhuddlan Castle is open to the public between Thursdays and Mondays - 10am until 5pm. The site is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
