ALANA Spencer's new cafe in Craig-Y-Don will open this May.

The Apprentice winner, who owns and runs Ridiculously Rich by Alana, let fans know in March that she was opening a business in the town.

The new base in Llandudno, by the paddling pool, which is blue in colour, will open on May 22. The sign has just been fixed in place.

Giving an update via her YouTube vlog, the cake maker sadly revealed that she had received negative comments when posting a picture of the made-over cafe on social media.

She said: "We came to Llandudno earlier in the week and paint work was finished so I took a photo and put it on social media.

"It was greeted initially by a barrage of mean comments.

"It was just to show the locals what we had been up to and how it is coming along.

"It was just a barrage of horrible comments... 'it looks awful'; 'I was thinking that - yuk'; 'It looks like it should be in Blackpool, tacky; 'it looks like a toilet block.'

"I don't usually get negatively on social media. I feel very lucky for that. But when you do, that negativity or those comments, it really is very upsetting and it really does hurt. And I can't imagine what it would be someone who gets trolled on a regular basis. It must be so horrific.

"I just wrote - 'It is not done yet guys, I hope you like it once it is finished. #BeKind.'"

Alana revealed her electrician has been completing finishing touchers.

She also said she may be looking to open a site in Caernarfon.

Alana won the BBC One's The Apprentice and secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar in 2016.

She went on to create Ridiculously Rich by Alana before launching Ambassador and Cakepreneur schemes.

In October 2019, Ridiculously Rich moved into its first purpose built bakery in Alana’s home town of Aberystwyth.
