THE High Sheriff of Clwyd launched the return of competitive crown green bowling in Rhuddlan.
Steve Thomas was the guest of honour at Rhuddlan Bowling Club (RBC) as it marked its participation in 2021 competitions including the Clwydian Senior Citizen’s League, the Colwyn Llandudno District League and the Clwyd League.
Rhuddlan mayor Arwel Roberts was also in attendance for a friendly match refereed by club chairman David Evans.
An RBC spokesperson said: “2021 has resulted a welcome spike in club membership, particularly in social member numbers.
“Our new social members will receive basic training from experienced playing members, not only to assist enjoyment, but also encourage their development in the sport.”
