MISS Mermaid Wales to stage a concert in Rhyl to raise donations for a marine conservation charity.
Tyler Turner, from Prestatyn, has teamed up with Subculture Events for a series of live performances and displays at the Late Lounge. A beach clean will also take place on the afternoon of the event.
Ms Turner, the daughter of Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Spencer Wilding, has used her time as the winner of the national beauty pageant to highlight ecological issues, fundraise for conservation charities and organise beach cleans.
She previously said: “I was working as a pool attendant and I was having some financial issues. I was fed up with being an adult and I thought... I want to be a mermaid.”
Sea Shepherd UK aims to end the destruction of habitats an illegal killing of wildlife around the UK’s coastline and across the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect marine ecosystems and species.
As part of the event, Sea Shepherd’s work will be on display along with a fundraising raffle for the charity.
The event takes place on Sunday, July 18.
Doors open at 7pm with a recommended contribution of £3.
