POLICE have slammed youths who left a St Asaph beauty spot in an "unacceptable" state.
North Wales Police's Denbighshire Rural team said that youths gathered in an area on the banks of the River Elwy some time overnight on Sunday.
Officers found evidence of several fires and barbecues having been sparked and rubbish left, and "action" was taken against youths who were still present.
A spokesperson for policing team said: "Unfortunately youths decided to attend the river at St Asaph overnight and deemed it acceptable to leave area like this.
"Actions taken with the youths still present upon arrival. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
