MORE than 23 arrests were made over a period of 48 hours.

The arrests over the weekend were for a variety of motoring and public order offences.

North Wales Police Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele said there had also an incident of arson on the Ffrith.

Posting of Facebook on Sunday, April 18, the team wrote: "Shopping areas and roads are noticeably busier which is a great sign of things returning to normality. With the sun out and more persons leaving their homes again please ensure your property is secured. One in three burglaries we attend are through doors and windows being left unlocked.

"On Sunday afternoon, North Wales Police Prestatyn and the fire service have attended to another arson on the Ffrith.

"This is not acceptable behaviour and we plea for information to identify offenders."

Flint Coastguard Rescue Team were asked to observe a quad bike being driven dangerously on Barkby Beach on April 17. 

They posted on Facebook: "Holyhead CGOC confirmed that police had been called to assist.

"Police on scene to deal with incident so we were stood down and carried on with our patrol."
