SHOPS across the county are permitted to re-open their doors to customers today.

Shoppers in Denbighshire are being reminded to follow guidance on social distancing, wear face coverings and practice hand hygiene.

Covid marshals will visit businesses and will be on-hand to provide support to ensure companies operate safely and follow legal guidelines.

Emlyn Jones, Denbighshire County Council’s head of Planning and Public Protection, said: “Businesses in the county have been working hard to ensure they are following guidance and regulations so they can keep their customers safe when they re-open. We would like to thank them for their hard work.

“Customers are reminded that the virus has not gone away and it is just as important as ever to stay safe as lockdown measures continue to be eased.

“It is still essential everyone continues to follow social distancing guidelines, use the hand sanitisers available in shops and wear a face mask unless you are exempt."
