A VIDEO has been released following the discovery of a hand grenade in a garden.
Llandudno Coastguard were called to Llanddulas on Sunday, March 14 to assist North Wales Police and The Royal Logistic Corps Bomb Disposal team after the explosive was found in the grounds of the property.
A spokesperson from the coastguard team said: "We were tasked to assist with establishing a cordon on the beach, however, due to the state of the tide, we were unable to find a safe location on the beach for a controlled detonation.
"We were able to source an alternative location at a nearby quarry where the detonation was carried out successfully."
North Wales Police received a report at 5.20pm on Saturday, March 13, that a drill grenade had been unearthed in a garden in the Tan-Y-Marian area.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The army disposal team was notified and they dealt with the matter."
Attempts are being made to contact The Royal Logistic Corps Bomb Disposal team.
