B&M opened its brand-new store and garden centre in Rhyl as more than 60 people begin their new jobs.

The discount store opened on Tuesday, March 9 as the latest addition the Marina Quay retail park.

It includes a range of branded products include food and drink, health and beauty, pet care, toys, DIY essentials and homeware. There is also a garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.

The store opened at 9am, followed by an opening ceremony with Rhyl Foodbank which received £250 of B&M vouchers after being nominated by staff.

A B&M spokesperson said: “Rhyl Foodbank really stood out for us so We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.

“Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open next week and show customers their brand-new B&M store.”

Jenny Holmesis, store manager, said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors this morning. The feedback so far has been fantastic.

“A big thank you to the team at Rhyl Foodbank who helped us open the store.

"We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done during the pandemic.

"We hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people."

B&M agreed a 10-year lease was agreed with retail park owner Scarborough Group International (SGI) for the 26,000 square foot premises in December.

Other popular stores at the retail park include Aldi, Greggs, The Range, Farm Foods and Batch ice cream parlour since 2018.
