THE FACT that Wales and England have differing roadmaps for the easing of coronavirus restrictions can be a source of confusion.
The announcement made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday only affects England, with the Welsh Government taking a different approach to easing lockdown restrictions.
We have compiled a Wales v England list to show the two countries' differing roadmaps.
Wales:
- February 20 - four people can meet outside for exercise
- February 22 - children aged 3-7 allowed to return to school
- March 1 - Wedding venues reopen with limits on size and guidance on care home visits to be reviewed
- March 12 - 'Stay at home' guidance reviewed and reopening of non-essential retail and close-contact services
- March 15 - All primary school and exam-age children back to school
- Easter ( First week of April) - limited reopening of tourism industry and all students back to school
No dates set yet for reopening of pubs, bars, restaurants and gyms
England:
- March 8 - All schools reopen, two people can meet outside, care home visits allowed, weddings can take place
- March 29 - People allowed to meet one other household outside, 'Stay at home' guidance ends, grass-roots outdoor sports resume
- April 12 - All shops reopen, outside service allowed in pubs and restaurants, gyms, spas and close contact services to reopen
- May 17 - Groups of up to 30 allowed to meet outdoors, groups of six can meet indoors, indoor seating in pubs, bars and restaurants
- June 21 - ALL restrictions lifted
