A NEW Poundbakery has opened its doors on Rhyl High Street.

The new store is on 75 High Street, next door to Greggs. The branch opened to customers on Thursday, February 18 at 8.30am.

A spokesperson for Poundbakery said: “We are closing the old store in the White Rose Centre however, we believe the new store, which is in a much sought after location on the High Street, will be a big hit with customers.

"We’re pleased to announce that sales were much better than expected and the shop smashed it’s opening day target.

"The new positioning on the high street is brilliant.

"Although our building is covered in scaffolding, the celebratory balloons, which were created by local business “Personalize A Memory” seemed to get the attention of a lot of customers.

"Everybody was glad to see us open, apart from perhaps our next door neighbours!"
