AN MS is calling on all those aged 70 plus to get in touch with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s (BCUHB) vaccination helpline if they have not yet received an appointment for their jab.

The coronavirus vaccine rollout in North Wales continues apace with 130,112 doses having been delivered in North Wales as of February 7.

Everyone in groups one to four below should now have been contacted regarding their vaccination appointment:

  • Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
  • All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
  • All those 75 years of age and over and all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals

Mr Millar, Clwyd West MS, said: “The UK vaccine rollout has been phenomenal and I’m delighted to see that Wales is now leading in the race to protect people from harm.

"I want to put on record my thanks to our brilliant NHS staff, the military, and the army of volunteers working around the clock to rollout vaccines in North Wales.”

Telephone the vaccination helpline on 03000 840004 to arrange the appointment.

The call centre is open between 8am and 8pm and the health board has advised that the best time to call is in the late afternoon or evening when it is less busy than other times.

Those aged under 70 should continue to wait to be contacted by the NHS for their vaccination appointment.
