A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy ran a marathon in a month to raise more than £2,000 for cancer research.
Jacob Harris was joined by dad Stephen, from Dyserth, as they ran nearly every day during January to clock up the 26.2-mile target.
They had initially aimed to raise £262 – or £10 for every mile – but they received huge support and gathered a total of £2,023, which will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
Mum Leanne said: "Jacob wanted to do something for charity and he loves running and football and never sits still so Stephen came up with the idea.
"They have run from the house, around the roads as well as down the railway track.
"It has been something good for them to do together while Jacob has been out of school.
"A lot of people have donated and said it is a cause that is close to their heart."
Donations are still being accepted via Jacob's fundraising page.
