A web designer was jailed for 16 months after he admitted distributing child porn to another internet user on five occasions in 2011.
James Tolmie, aged 59, of Castle Street, Rhuddlan, also pleaded guilty to possessing 35 indecent images of children when police raided a property at Abergele last May and a computer was seized.
Defence barrister Owen Edwards told Caernarfon crown court that Tolmie was of previous good character and the distribution charge arose from his admission.
He’d been at his “lowest ebb” when he offended.
Judge Nicola Jones ordered the defendant to register as a sex offender and made a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.
She said one child shown in the images had been bound in a painful manner.
“Only an immediate custodial sentence is appropriate,” the judge declared.
