SNOWDONIA Cheese has been awarded Best British Cheese Brand in the Fine Food Digest's latest Best Brands survey.

This is the sixth time that Snowdonia Cheese has won the prestigious accolade.

Each year, Fine Food Digest, published by The Guild of Fine Food, surveys hundreds of independent retailers across the UK, from leading delis and farm shops to cheesemongers and luxury food halls, to discover the bestselling products in the speciality food sector.

Its annual awards are among the most highly respected in the sector and accompany its Best Brand guide which is published every January.

Rhyl based Snowdonia Cheese Company Limited first won the award in January 2015 and has since been crowned the number one cheese brand a further five times in a row.

John Newton-Jones, managing director of the Snowdonia Cheese Company, said: “We’re very proud to have been recognised by the fine food industry once again.

"Being awarded the title of Best British Cheese Brand for the sixth time in seven years is a significant achievement for Snowdonia Cheese.

"It reflects the care, expertise and natural ingredients that go into creating our hand-crafted cheeses.”

A family business run by the sons of third-generation dairy farmers, Snowdonia Cheese Company expertly crafts multi-award-winning cheeses and chutneys using fresh, natural ingredients for exceptional flavour.

The Black Bomber was its first creation and continues to be a favourite among lovers of fine food.

It has also won awards at The British Cheese Awards, Nantwich International Cheese Awards and the World Cheese Awards, and received a “Super Gold” award at Mondial Fromage in France.

Snowdonia Cheese Company was established in Llanrwst in 2001.
