RHYL’s lifeboat crews were saddened to hear of the death of a long standing and staunch crew member and paid tribute to his commitment to the RNLI.
David Mottram, had been a member of the launch crew, and had worked in the RNLI shop raising funds, for many years.
Paul Frost, Rhyl lifeboat deputy launch authority, said: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to David’s two children and their families.
“He was a great influence on the young lads who were joining the crew and fostered their volunteer spirit in both in fund raising and being in the launch crew and sea going crews. He showed great commitment to the RNLI.”
In later years David moved to Craig-y-Don, Llandudno.
