ANOTHER elderly person has been targeted by a burglar.

Doris Copeland was in her house in Marsh Road Rhyl, dozing off late on Friday afternoon, when she woke up to find she had been burgled; her handbag had been moved and she could hear someone rummaging through her belongings.

Treasured items were stolen as well as £250 cash.

A resident living on Tarquin Drive has now been targeted.

North Wales Police Community Safety Central tweeted on Tuesday, December 22: "We have had further reports of burglary's happening in Rhyl

"An address on Marsh Road was burgled over the weekend and yesterday a resident of Tarquin Drive was burgled.

"Both victims were elderly and lived alone."

Caroline, Doris's daughter, had told the Journal on Monday that a second resident had been targeted.
