CHARITY fundraising Christmas decorations went to a public vote to win a £100 prize.
Prestatyn Town Council held its annual Christmas decorations competition saw scores of entries in the town and surrounding areas.
Members of the public had 24 hours to comment or link their favourite from the pictures with the most interactions receiving £100.
Four entries were shortlisted including the I’m a Celebrity-themed Christmas castle built by father and son Bill and Josh Parry, which has raised thousands of pounds for St Kentigern Hospice.
The Santa’s Grotto by Jolene Smith, Sadie-May and Roman in Tower Gardens, Prestatyn raising funds for the Prestatyn and Meliden Foodbank was also selected, alongside team Gary and Amy in Meliden.
It was the castle that reigned the competition with 350 votes and 24,000 views on social media.
A Facebook post by Prestatyn Town Council’s What’s On Prestatyn page said: “Congratulations to our competition winners Bill & Josh Parry with their entry ‘Christmas Castle’. They received over 348 likes and 95 comments and will be donating their £100 competition prize to St Kentigern’s.
“Thank you to everyone who entered our Christmas competition and to everyone who voted.”
