Police are urging people to avoid becoming a 'twilight burglary' victim following an attempted Rhyl break-in.

Officers revealed they have received reports of 'another victim' living on Doren Avenue.

North Wales Police Community Safety Central, which covers Conwy and Denbighshire, tweeted how another householder had been affected.

"Sadly we have had another victim of a twilight burglary on Doren Avenue in #Rhyl," it tweeted.

"The resident came back at 11pm to find the rear window had been smashed.

"Thankfully the window was locked so the suspects could not gain entry."

Officers have urged householders to fit a timer switch to avoid this type of burglary happening.
