The Leader:

David Vaughan Jones, originally from Caerwys, shared the two photos (pictured above) with us.

He said: "A couple of pictures of me at the Caerwys Carnival circa 1950s. I loved Charlie Chaplin.

"Someone may recognise the others with me as a policeman. The young guardsman is Howell Matthews' son."

If you know the names of the others pictured, email claire.pierce@newsquest.co.uk

The Leader:

Roger Skinner shared a photo of a local character (pictured above) on the Caerwys Historical Society Facebook page.

He said: “How many of you remember this lady who lived in Chapel Street when Barry and I were young? Her name was Mrs Blackwell, who originally came from Cricklewood in London, she was a good age when this photograph was taken.”
