DESPITE Covid, fun and laughter has continued at Bradshaw Manor care home in Rhyl.
Residents have been trying out new activities including art clubs, gardening, news quizzes, discussion groups, virtual pet shows, competitions, baking, arts and crafts and pen pal writing.
There is also virtual entertainment, armchair yoga, religious services, theatre productions and virtual trip to the zoo, arranged by the homes’ activities team for residents within the home and community group.
Emma Crompton, activities coordinator, supports the personal interests of residents so they can continue with their individual hobbies.
Heidi Crompton, general manager at Bradshaw Manor Care Home, said: “Ensuring residents feel engaged and connected within our homes is more important than ever. Our residents have really enjoyed continuing the activities that are provided, despite the current situation. We provide a wide range of activities at Bradshaw Manor as part of the life enrichment programme for residents.
"Our varied activities programme allows us to provide stimulation of the mind, body and soul for residents in group activities, as well as one-to-one.
"We have also adapted ways to keep residents active, whilst ensuring that the group activities are smaller, adhering to current government social distancing advice”
