MORE than 500 people connected to schools across Denbighshire have been made to self-isolate over the past week.

A total of 237 pupils and no staff at Rhyl High School will be required to self-isolate until November 30 following a confirmed Covid 19 case associated with the school.

At Ysgol Ysgol Dinas Bran, Llangollen, 210 pupils and one member of staff will be required to self-isolate until December 1.

Meanwhile, 29 pupils and 17 staff members at Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn (Park Street – Secondary Site), Denbigh, will be required to self-isolate until December 2 and a further 53 pupils and four staff members at Ysgol Borthyn, Ruthin, will be required to self-isolate until December 3.

All schools remain open and are working closely with Public Health Wales, the Local Authority and NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect to ensure that all the appropriate measures are in place to protect all associated.

All parents and carers have been informed and both the Local Authority and the schools have consulted with Public Health Wales.
