THIS is the first look inside the I'm A Celebrity camp at Gwrych Castle!

During a tour of the site on Thursday, November 12, the Journal were shown what the celebrities have to look forward to this year.

The red telephone box has made its way to Wales from Australia. Eight camp beds and two hammocks make up the sleeping quarters and there is also a not-so-inviting washroom where the campmates will certainly bond!

The shower features a watering can that is above a bath and campmates will have to pump water to get a 'decent luke-warm shower'.

Celebrities will be staying in what looks like magical surroundings. Inside the fairytale space, ivy dances up the walls and artificial ivy covers the ceilings.

This is complemented by pretty lights but their living conditions do not match the 'wow'!

The campmates will certainly be exposed to the elements (it is already - cold!) and the privvy (the new name for the dunny) might be smelling fresh right now, but not for long.

Managing the Ye Olde Shoppe is Kiosk Cledwyn! Kiosk Kev's long lost Welsh cousin.

Whilst on the tour, executive producer Tom Gould said: "This is the Ye Old Shoppe - the Welsh equivalent of the outback shack and this where the celebrities will come after completing Castle Coin Challenges (replacing Dingo Dollar challenges). If they complete those challenges successfully, then this is where they can come to spend their castle coins providing that the camp get Kiosk Cledwyn's question right."

Contestants will have to put their usual hard-work in to get warm water for their laundry and for showers.

"The flow of the water is down to the person who pumps the water," Tom explained.

"They are going to need a strong shower buddy to pump it!"

"It is a good opportunity for people to chat as well."

Talking about the ivy that covers the sprawling site, Tom added: "That is what attracted us to this place. You've got a real sense of nature encroaching in on the castle and that what feels like...you have real echoes of the jungle so it feels familiar whilst being totally different.

"We were very very lucky."

An amazing amount of hard work has gone into the site to make the castle ready.

The incredible transformation has happened over 10 weeks.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! starts 9pm this Sunday on ITV.

The latest crop of celebrities for the show include: AJ Pritchard, Beverley Callard, Giovanna Fletcher, Hollie Arnold, Jessica Plummer, Jordan North, Sir Mo Farah, Shane Richie, Vernon Kay and Victoria Derbyshire.
