THE RNLI has recently recognised the long service of 20 of its volunteers based at Rhyl.
Each volunteer has been awarded the newly created Long Service Badge, or Long Service Medal with additional service bar.
Fundraiser Bob Scott was recognised for giving 60 years of his life to the RNLI.
Those honoured for 50 years of service to the Rhyl RNLI were; retired crew member John Vickers, retired Deputy Coxswain and Lifeboat press officer Paul Frost MBE, retired third mechanic and boathouse manager Charles ‘Jimmy’ Quinn, fundraising president and RNLI shop manager Jean Frost MBE, fundraising chair Peter Dean, fundraising secretary Beryl Dean and fundraiser Joan Griffiths.

Retired crew member and Rhyl RNLI chair David Simmons and crew member Colin Clews were recognised for 40 years of service, whilst retired Coxswain Peter Robinson and fundraiser Jan Robinson celebrate 30 years.
The 20 year servants awarded with medals were; retired crew member and lifeboat operations manager Darrel Crowther (below), Rhyl RNLI treasurer William Newton, fundraising vice chair Roy Price and fundraisers; Kathleen Hampson, Margaret Williams, Joyce Rollinson and Linda Pearson and Peter Karren.
Rhyl RNLI congratulated all mentioned above on their many years of service to saving lives at sea and for collecting their medals.
