GIANT Ant and Dec inflatables - measuring 20ft high - are attracting attention in Abergele.

Family run business Ready Grass had the inflatables custom made ahead of I’m a Celeb, which is being filmed at Abergele’s Gwrych Castle.

The business has also made a throne and props such as mini version of the castle and a cut out of the Geordie presenters.

Sarah Winn, of Ready Grass, said: “As a family we are massive fans of I'm A Celebrity so we were delighted when we heard the news.

"Due to the horrible situation we are in, we wanted to create something to make people smile again.

"We used all materials we already had in the shop. My dad Ronnie and brother Aaron made the throne and Gwrych Castle and the grandchildren - Summer, Alfie, Starla and Cassius - all helped paint and decorate the display.

"It was really lovely to see the children get involved in something to do with our family run business and the joy on their faces when they seen it come together for this once in a lifetime experience of having I’m A Celebrity in our home town.

"Our giant dancing Ant and Dec inflatables were custom made for us. They are 20ft high so significantly bigger than the real thing.

"People have found them hilarious to watch them dancing together.

"We are also looking into doing our very own bushtucker trials with the family for everyone to see on our social media pages."

The business has created a hashtag - #getantanddectoreadygrass and is making plans to create more exciting props.

Ready Grass has also been in touch with schools in the area to see if they are interested in running a competition.

"This will be to design a display which we will add to our own display," Sarah said.

"The feedback has been brilliant. People have been stopping for photographs - all within Covid regulations of course.

"We have been asking people to tag Readygrass with the hashtag #getantanddectoreadygrass.

"People are very welcome to come along and see [the display] and get their photographs taken."

Sarah said she feels having I'm a Celeb in Abergele will be fantastic for the area.

"It will boost people's spirits and it has been such a lovely experience to see everyone coming together and making a real effort to decorate their shops and houses," she said.

"Its such a shame outsiders might not be able to see the beautiful town we live in due to the current situation.

"The town is buzzing with vehicles trucks coming in and out, you can also see marques etc coming in.

"We have tried to get a sneaky look but the security is like Fort Knox - there is no chance!"
