FOUR pupils and two teachers at a secondary school in St Asaph have been told to self-isolate for two weeks following a positive test for coronavirus.

Denbighshire County Council said the six individuals from Ysgol Glan Clwyd will have to follow self-isolation rules after the positive case "associated" with school on Tuesday, October 13.

The council said the school will remain open and that it is working with Public Health Wales and NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect.

The pupils and staff will return to school on Tuesday, October 27.

"All parents and carers have been informed and both the Local Authority and the school have consulted with Public Health Wales," the council said.

"The school remains open and the Council is working closely with Ysgol Glan Clwyd, Public Health Wales as well as NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect to ensure appropriate measures are in place to protect pupils, staff and the wider community.

"Parents/guardians have been advised to remain alert for the main symptoms of coronavirus."
