SHAUN PEARSON insists that it's difficult not to be excited by Wrexham's potential takeover.
Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been confirmed as the duo looking to take over the running of the club from the Supporters Trust.
It's a deal that could put Wrexham on the map and help the Reds finally climb the football pyramid after 12 years stranded in the National League.
Captain Pearson said: "I'm similar to probably everyone else, you think 'nah, no way'. But it's potentially a big opportunity for the club.
"We've only been told their names, but it's exciting. You'd be lying if you didn't think it was exciting, but it's probably a little while off in terms of everything going through I would imagine.
"It's exciting, but other than that...obviously I don't know the ins and outs or the plans, I'm guessing that will become clear in the next few weeks.
"It's potentially a really exciting prospect for the club and something that could move the club forward in quite a big way.
"Any publicity is generally good publicity, but anything that increases the profile of the club will benefit everyone."
