THE public and businesses owners have been urged by Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is calling on to be vigilant and comply with the rules imposed to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
A number of local authority areas in Wales have already seen new restrictions introduced over the past couple of weeks.
Dr Giri Shankar of Public Health Wales said Conwy and Denbighshire are now being closely monitored and could face local restrictions, along with Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Anglesey, and Flintshire.
Mr Millar said: “It was very concerning to hear Denbighshire and Conwy are amongst the local authorities which may face further restrictions.
“Clearly this is not what any of us want so I therefore urge everyone to be vigilant and comply with the rules.
“If we all do what is asked of us then we may be able to prevent further restrictions, keep the virus under control and prevent people from coming to harm.
“We did it earlier in the year and I am confident we can do it again.
“I hope and pray that the situation improves across North Wales in the coming days.”
Mark Drakeford, the First Minister, has urged people across Wales to only travel if it was essential. The Health Minister, Vaughan Gething, told the Welsh Parliament that the UK Government’s restrictions forcing pubs to close at 10pm in England, are being considered in Wales, along with limiting pubs and restaurants to table service only.
