THIS WEEKEND marks the end of the RNLI lifeguard service along the coast of two Denbighshire towns for 2020.
As with years gone by, their patrols in Rhyl and Prestatyn will come to an end on Sunday.
However, more than 100 beaches across the country will still have patrols, some for longer than during a ‘normal’ year.
A Rhyl RNLI spokesperson said: "Our Lifeboat crews remain operational throughout the year. Remember to be beach safe as you head out to catch the last glimpses of summer. If you see someone in trouble at the coast or you are yourself call 999 and ask for the Coastguard".
