A PERSON was arrested for drug driving in Prestatyn on Wednesday.
North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit tweeted that the arrest was made after a positive test from a roadside swab.
The unit said an arrest was also made in Bangor.
It marks a busy period for the unit as the number of drug drive arrests have increased by 49 per cent between January and August compared to the same period last year.
The Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Further drug drive arrests made yesterday in Bangor and Prestatyn
"Drug driving will not be tolerated and those who risk lives will be prosecuted."
