Covid heroes to be celebrated
A CARAVAN holiday firm has launched a campaign to celebrate key workers and volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution during the coronavirus outbreak.
Lyons Holiday Parks said the Lyons Heart Campaign aims to recognise individuals who have "gone above and beyond the norm to help and guide others through adversity" since the nationwide lockdown in March.
Geoff Mound, director of Lyons Holiday Parks, which runs 13 sites in North Wales and the Lake District, called for members of the public to nominate someone who has made a difference to them in recent months.
“The past few months have been testing for all of us, but even more so for those who strive to offer their help and guidance wherever they go," Mr Mound said. "We want to say thank you to these heroes and offer them something in return.”
The Lyons Heart Awards Ceremony takes place in December with an all-expenses-paid evening including a drinks reception, three-course meal and entertainment.
