A VIRTUAL flower show has been deemed a success.

Unhindered by adverse weather, lockdown restrictions or any other problem, Prestatyn Flower Show - staged online this year due to coronavirus - grew and bloomed through its Facebook page.

Green fingered residents, who usually display flowers, plants, vegetables, cakes and more, were asked to post a picture of what they would have entered into this year’s event.

The idea to have a virtual Flower Show on Facebook was pitched by a committee members.

Pauline added: “Ann Williams, who is the principal show secretary, contacted all the committee who thought it was a good idea. It was an attempt to keep the flower show in people’s minds and gave them a chance to show off their horticultural successes.”

This was the 26th Prestatyn Flower Show.
