A RUTHIN-BASED Scouts group are looking for leaders and assistants to join them and help young members make the most of their time with the group.

As part of the First Ruthin Brynbach Scout Group, you will learn to plan and deliver a safe and exciting programme for young people within a chosen age group - six to 18 year olds.

You'll be using your energy and creativity to help young people have fun, develop their potential and earn a wide range of badges and awards.

A spokesperson for the group said: "If you enjoy the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping or other outdoor activities, then come and join us.

"Do you enjoy getting your hands messy whilst being involved in craft making projects? Could you help lead community projects involving the young people of today whilst preparing them with the skills for life? As a Leader or Asssistant within our Scout Group you can do all this, and more, using your skills, whilst learning new ones and passing these onto Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

"But of course you wont be doing this alone - a team of supporters, parents and the young people themselves will help you plan and deliver the programme too. Training is free, some of which can be done on-line."

The 1st. Ruthin-Brynbach Scout Group is part of the Scout Association which is a diverse organisation. For more information, contact ruthinscouts@gmail.com
