Transport police are investigating an incident at Welshpool Railway Station after social distancing signs were found plastered on the display boards.
The round stickers, reminding people to keep a two metre distance, would have originally been placed next to the yellow lines on the two platforms.
However, they were instead found on the departure display boards, preventing passengers from seeing where the trains were going and what time they were arriving.
Other stickers were found plastered on the shelter.
A Transport for Wales spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, August 4, we received a report of vandalism at Welshpool station the previous day. This has been passed to our colleagues in the British Transport Police for further investigation."
The stickers were removed from the station by Tuesday evening.
“We’d like to remind everyone that social distancing measures remain in place on our trains and stations, and that our signage has been placed on them in order to facilitate this and ensure the safety of customers and colleagues during this challenging time.”
