DENBIGHSHIRE County Council is set to begin road surfacing works in some communities across the county, as part of on-going efforts to maintain and improve the road network.

The process is weather dependant so there may be some flexibility in the dates but the work will begin in Rhydtalog with the final parts of the programme being undertaken in the Prestatyn area in the week commencing August 10.

The areas that will receive treatment are as follows:

  • A5151 Ffordd Ffrainc, Dyserth
  • A525 South of Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd
  • A525 Pentre Llanrhaeadr
  • A547 Meliden to Prestatyn
  • A547 Penisa to Graig Hotel, Dyserth
  • A547 Sewage works to North lodge, Dyserth
  • A5104 Dafarn Dywyrch to Crown Crossroads
  • A525 Llandegla
  • A5105 Rhydtalog
  • B5381 Glascoed road, lower section, St Asaph
  • B5381 Glascoed Road, Business park to Engine Hill junction, St Asaph
  • B5381 Lower Denbigh Road, St Asaph,
  • Corwen Road Ruthin
  • B5429 Pentrecelyn, school to the village

Councillor Brian Jones, Cabinet Lead Member for Waste, Transport and the Environment, said: “This programme of works is part of our on-going efforts to maintain the condition of our roads and our teams will be out and about carrying out works in a number of communities county-wide over the coming weeks.

“We would like to inform motorists that temporary speed restrictions will be in place, as well as temporary traffic control measures. We would like to thank motorists and residents in advance for their co-operation and would like to apologise for any potential short term inconvenience."
